- Branch Carter Photogrpahy tells stories...stories about people, stories about events, stories about life. Now that's the canned "about us" text. The real deal is that I take lifestyle portraits. The catch is -- I get a kick out of watching lives unfold and grow around me. It's not uncommon to see me wipe a tear (or a bead of sweat) at a wedding since I'm the fortunate one that gets let into the inner world of my brides and their families. So, what's the difference between someone who takes pictures and someone who creates lifestyle portraits. Here's my take: if you only had ONE chance to have a lifestyle portrait created since tomorrow does not hold any promises, pick the person who you know will deliver for you. That person is a lifestyle portrait artist; the other simply presses a button on a box. I know that is a simplistic way of looking at photography, but it's my profession, and my way of life.
